Experience the Driscoll Difference

The Callahan's say: "Although our Jersey Shore summer home is just off the ocean, we wanted a safe enviornment for our young boys to swim and are glad we found Driscoll to give us a whole new back yard."

      The Callahan Project Description:

Their well-appointed oceanside home is the perfect Jersey Shore getaway for

their family, with one minor exception; sometimes the water can be too

rough for their young boys to swim safely. So they had this lovely in-ground

vinyl pool installed and now need a complimentary Driscoll deck around it.

We presented Teresa with samples of composite, cellular vinyl and other

heartwood decking boards; but, she would have none of it! She was set on

the exotic Brazilian Ash hardwood - so Garapa Gold it is! And, since they

already had the gas line in for the barbeque, we found ourselves saying,

"yes, that will work an awful lot..." And, we'll need a new privacy fence, too.

       Yes we can...!

      Driscoll Solution Story:

The best way for us to make this 'solution' work was listen and take good

notes. The Callahan's knew exactly what they wanted, including the local

footprint code and so the design part was easy, we just agreed with

everything they suggested and said, "sounds like we have a plan that works,

so with no further ado, here we go..."

Callahan: Nice pool... Callahan: But, needs a little Driscoll Magic.. Callahan: and, here's The Plan that works

Callahan: Last look at that old fence Callahan: Trenching for the beam... Callahan: ...w/sona tube footings

Callahan: First look at the new fence Callahan: Building up the built-up beams... Callahan: Note the beam flashing for extra protection

Callahan: As the framing gets under way... Callahan: ...we have but only one concern... Callahan: ...will that little red cone ever thaw out ?

Callahan: Framing is ready! Callahan: Yes ma'am! those are your Garapa- Gold decking boards Callahan: We've made a few straight cuts around the curves
Callahan: parting the boards here and there... Callahan: ... but we like curving the curves the best..! Callahan: And, least we forget, rescuing the little red cone.
Callahan: An ice-breaker came in overnight... Callahan: ...but at least the LRC is safe, for now.. Callahan: Well this "part" appears to be done...
Callahan: Say it isn't so, the LRC is out on the diving board...! Callahan: Yes! we've got boards curving and parting, and now we've... Callahan: ... got stairs! w/garapa picture-framed platform and treads.
