The Kehoe's say: "We have been working on "the master plan" for a few years that will include an uper deck with water-tight patio below to an outdoor kitchen and swiming pool. It's now time to put the plan into action"

      The Kehoe Project Description:

Our first advice to the Kehoe's was that we should design/build a custom

deck to be "ON" with consideration of traffic patterns, furniture and the grill

and that the number and placement of the structural posts below the deck

was by code for safely, support, and live weight loads. Then they went on

to detail what they wanted on AND below the deck and so needless to say -

we took notes to make sure we got everything right.

      Driscoll Solution Story:

The 'perfect design' called for a large upper deck with a bump-out bay in the

front and another on the side for the barbeque; to reduce the obstructed view

of the yard and future pool, the railings along the front are clear acrylic; we

used oversized built-up beams so none would obstruct the center sliding glass

door walkout; for a great deck surface we will use fiberglass which will also

be water-tight to the paverstone patio below. Under the deck the patio ceiling

will be vinyl beadboard with lighting and paddle fan(s) plus a veneer stone

wall and post surrounds; and of course lovo accent lighting on the deck,

stairs and patio. As you can see, this Specially designed Driscoll Deck took

into consideration everything to be both "ON" and "BELOW" the deck.
