Experience the Driscoll Difference

The O'Riordans say: "We have been working on 'the plan' to replace our old decks, and front entrance walkways for awhile, and are so glad we finally teamed up with Driscoll Decks, who can do everything for us."

      The O'Riordan Project Description:

As you can see, the O'Riordan's have a lovely spacious home on a beautiful

wooded hillside lot, but their decks were aging and in need of an uplifting

new design. The lower deck needs to be extened to the meet the houseline

on the right (for possible future sunroom enclosure), and our inverted living

style home needs the upper deck to be twice that size. We like the look of

stainless steel cable railings and want to use earthtone decking boards, and

complementary colored trimboards. White would not look right on this house.

The railroad-tie-stone-filled walkways also has to be replaced and then there

is the front entranceway that also needs to be built to match!

      More on the front later...

      Driscoll Solution Story:

They told us of the plan, offereing our recommendations and taking 'a lot of

notes' and in The Team came up with this fabulous design that includes using

the thru-house engineered beams and extending both the lower and upper

decks using the new Acacia cellular vinyl decking boards, s/s cable railings,

posts and step accent lighting and step lights in the new tinted concrete

walkway down to the driveway. "The Plan" is ready,  so let's get to it...

A right side view of old beam decks... And, the walkway up from the driveway... The PLAN is ready to go...!
We start by carefully removing the old decking boards... Then adding new structural joists to hold those old beams together... But, note those old support columns, they will have to be replaced

..With these new 6x6 columns for both the lower and upper decks Note how we tied the old sections in with the new... The PLAN is coming together...;)
We better get those cable railings on that upper deck real soon... And, for a L-O-N-G look at how it's coming together... Ahhh decking boards, with a darker shade for the parting boards...

Screw holes! Now you see them, now you don't...!!! Another parting board on the lower deck too... "Will" these be the stairs that he wanted...?
Decking up there... And, steppin' up too... A view from above. Note the picture frames...

Post sleeve chimes...? Cable railings on new black posts... With lots of lovo accent lighting...

These stairs are shapin' up there...;) A few more top rails and it's a wrap..! Down lights...

Walk this way... Thru-view...;) Tinted concrete steps..
...Down to the driveway Okay, Pour it..! Lookin' smooth...;)

We now move around to the front entrance for a complete "Driscoll" make over!!!

Step right up, w/accent lights to guide the way Now there's a new deck that matches this house!
