The Tierney's say: "We were looking for a builder that specialized in custom decks to give us the best advice and a deck designed for our own needs. We are very happy to be working with Driscoll "

      The Tierney Project Description:

As you can see, the Tierney's old deck above has served them well but now

needed a complete overhaul. They wanted to maintain the size of their old

deck, but add a buit-in spa. They like the Driscoll signature octagons they

saw on this web site and a friend suggested putting the spa in the octagon,

and we have to have a pergola over the spa, and of course accent lighting for

dining alfresco and a special section for the grill.

      Driscoll Solution Story:

The truth be told, we did not come up with this design on day one (day 2-3

either) OK, it was more like day 7 or 8 w/a little help from our friends. But,

we believe the Tierney's will soon have one of the nicest decks in the area.

The final design calls for a new multi-level deck, w/a step-down octagon spa

w/overhead white vinyl pergola, flared stairs, accent lighting and least we

forget the bump-out for the well placed barbeque

Tierney: OK, we'll take the old one down... Tierney: ...and get started putting this new one up... soon! Tierney: But, first save the boxwoods, please!
Tierney: Looks like Driscoll got here just in the tilt of time... so to speak Tierney: Try to imagine the virtual image above, only 6' to the left, as per Osama, we mean Walter Tierney: We try to stay politically in the center, but you'd understand if you ever s/w 14' Walter.
Tierney: Solid framing is a good place to start... Tierney: Note the spa pad (concrete) frame on the grade up front Tierney: Workin' that little barbeque bump-out

Tierney: Here comes that BIG SPA - sittin' pretty on its own concrete slab Tierney: Sure is starting to shape up now, Driscoll... Tierney: ... with that step-down-octagon around the spa
Tierney: We're finally up to the decking "part"... Tierney: ... comin' at you from many different angles. But, isn't that the Driscoll Difference Tierney: We're almost ready for a visit from Breezy...
Tierney: If you look real closely...(enlarge) Tierney: ... you'll see those deck scew holes... Kierney: Here at Monmouth we say, "It is now Post-Time.."
Tierney: Posts, railings, barbeque bump-outs and of course the beautiful pergola... Tierney: ... Ah, the pergola over the step-down octagon spa Tierney: Now there is a classic Driscoll setting. Better get your rubber duckie, Breezy cause we're almost ready...
Tierney: Screw hole shown on the left, Paulie-the-Plug hit the ones on the right  (Enlarge!) Tierney: NOW we're ready for you Breezy, with built-in spa side benches to sit on Tierney: Lovin' those Driscoll flared stairs, and doesn't this look almost exactly like the virtual design above

Our work is done here, enjoy the accent lighting, shady-spa and least we forget, the barbeque bump-out Tierney's, cause the Buckley's have been waiting patiently for us - for EIGHT long years...
