      The Whalen Project Description:

      The Whalen's have a large, beautiful fenced in yard with enough lawn area

      for a nice sized swiming pool and new bigger deck for their growing young

      family. They wanted to separate the dining area and set off a place for the

      grill, and would like to have lovo accent lighting for dining alfresco. When the

      final pool design was an above ground, they wanted a separate pool-side

      deck w/security gate.

      Driscoll Solution Story:

      First we recommended using the kitchen bump-out wall to line up our 12'

      step-up octagon on the main deck, then build in enough sitting area for all the

      family and friends, and a separate deck for sitting pool-side, and of course a

      locking security gate. Let's get to it...

Whelan: Looks like a workable plan Driscoll, let's get to workin' it...	Whelan: First, let's take down that old wooden deck	Whelan: Now that the pool is in and we're ready to go...

Whelan: The pool side deck will go right here...	Whelan: ... like this	Whelan: But, the main deck will be, well, the main attraction...

Whalen: ...with the step up octagon overlooking the cool pool.	Whalen: This Azek decking board pattern will be very pool, I mean cool...	Whalen: We're just about 1/2 way to that workable plan above...

Whalen: So you can walk this way...	Whalen: ...'cause we're steppin' up...	Whalen: ... for a poolside view of the action...

Whalen: Or from here on the main deck!	Whalen:...Or maybe over here, just admiring those classic Driscoll lines...	Whalen: But, for now we'll just be hangin' poolside waiting on the paver circle
