This Driscoll Solution is a nice sized deck with that special Driscoll "perfect" design

The Kelly's say: "Driscoll delivers! They designed the right deck for our family and budget, and then built it as scheduled.

Great job, thanks."

    The Kelly Project Description:

The Kelly's had a small pressure-treated wood deck, just about room for their

barbeque grill, but not much more. They had a beautiful yard, but unfortunately no

place to sit and enjoy it. They wanted something practical but classy, to relax and

entertain family and  friends, and wanted to utilize their set-back to place their grill

(see wheel barrel in first image).

    Driscoll Solution Story:

First we laid out the proposed area (see string-line in first image) for the new deck.

     We then designed a 16 X 16 custom deck with a two-foot cantilever and two-foot

bays in each corner, and just for fun included a herringbone center separation

(note framing board in third image). The substructure was the DSD standard 6x6

posts and double 2x10 structrual beams (note in images 2-3). We used a cedar

composite decking board and a white PVC vinyl railing system. Now all the

    neighbors want one...

Kelly: String up that layout Kelly: Looks like a plan, let's get to it... Kelly: Good strong framing is a good place to start...
Kelly: when your building durable decks Kelly: Clean looking heeringbone pattern... Kelly: And, a great finished look!

The Coyles say: "We are very glad to have choosen Driscoll Signature Decks. Unlike our neighbor's contractor, who took deposits and never came back, Driscoll was here every day.

Real professionals."

    The Coyle Project Description:

The Coyles have a nice new home with a fenced in yard. They originally found

Driscoll Signature Decks via a search-engine looking for a local

contractor to build a 3-season screened-in porch. We went through a

number of ideas and alterations, on paper of course, and finally came up with

the ideal plan. The Coyle's also wanted the decking patterns that they had

seen in our Gallery I section. Yes! We can do that pattern for them...

    Driscoll Solution Story:

Using our new DeckTools design software, we designed a 25' X 21' custom

deck with a 12' set-up ocatgon for their oversized dining table. We ran the

decking boards in a triple boarder pattern (as requested), which we also did on the

    Smith's project.

Coyle: Nice yard with plenty of room to work ...

Coyle: ...but first maybe we should do the little deck w/a big hammer. Coyle: When the Driscoll job trailer moves into position, we're ready...

Coyle: looks like the

deck load is ready, we better get started ...

Coyle: now we're doin' the decking due (or is it do...?) Coyle: step right up and sit on your 12' octagon, well soon you can ...
Coyle: doin' the deckin' and railin' on the 12 footer ...

Coyle: Shapin up...

we can hear the music in the distance ...

Coyle: Driscoll decks are built for dancing, don't cha know ...
Coyle: Bring out that big table and get the barbie going, it's time... Coyle: a little rain helps make our work ... shine. Coyle: a good investment that you can sit on, and smile. Enjoy.

The Driscoll Solution Story is mult-level deck

w/built-in benches

The Egans say: "We now know why the company is called Driscoll Signature Decks, our signed plaque says it all..."

    Egan Project Description:

The Egan's have a nicely appointed home on a golf course - but of course,

and wanted a new custom deck to sit, sip and smile and possibly entertain

after a round of golf. The Egan's were eager to have the Driscoll

Boys design (and build) something that would fit their needs to a tee.

We chose a nine iron, and with just enough back spin, it rolled right in the

    cup, but of course ...

    Our Egan Solution:

We first needed to consider the site work to remove the concrete patio, then

we developed two-tiered design, the lower deck in the

alcove area with a corner bay and a 3' cantilever and an upper 10' step-up

octagon for dining. Sounds like a plan, we'd better tee it up...

                                     (click any image to enlarge)

Egan: Good looking yard with a view of the 16th; please note the diligent watch dog - Maggie Mae Egan: As always, we start this work of art with a few brush strokes, to the left is the step-up octagon Egan: Note the circles for the post/beam and the outline of the 3' cantilever on the main deck ...

Egan: the main deck is comin' together ... of course - note the 3' bay Egan: and the 10' step-up octagon... we're sure our job trailer will be secure w/Maggie on duty Egan: it looks like the framing is floating above the ground

Egan: decking boards and railings on the step up octagon are looking pretty good...but wait...! Egan: ...not so fast smooth talker, stop the railings and sit down for a second. They block the view of the 16th hole... Egan: ... we have no problem w/last second changes. For you seat aficionado's, here's how we did 'em
Egan: The Driscoll boys come thru again, now there's a view of the harbor, or is it the 16th hole .... Egan: Nice cantilever, but will it hold the fat lady singing...? By the way, where's Maggie for a final foto ....? undercover...?

Egan: Another sign of quality. Our work here is, well Dunn, Driscoll.
