Experience the Driscoll Difference

The Guinesses say: "My brother is an architect and read an article in The New York Times "Finding Safe Material For a Deck" that quoted Fredy Lowe. He then went onto this web site and called us saying, 'you have to contact this builder' and so we did. The pictures below and the finished sip only tell 1/2 the story. We love it. What a fabulous job!

    The Guinness Project Description:

The Guinness' have a very large lovely yard - see proof photo below. Their

existing deck was done by the builder. Now this is not to say it wasn't a nice

deck, but it was, well just a deck. The Guinness' wanted more: more room for

family and friends, more room for just sitting out-of-doors. They found

Driscoll quoted in THE New York Times ... very impressive.

    Driscoll Solution Story:

We first discussed a custom deck design replacement, but as the plan came

together (they mentioned the "bugs") a 18 X 15 PGT screened-in porch (sip)

was added. The Guinness' had done extensive research and knew what they

wanted; they loved Driscoll's step-up octagons and ordered an extra-large 12

footer. We thought: this will not only be fun, but at 10'6" it will be an elevating

    project to build, for sure....

Guinness: Why yes, I'll have a pint. Having said that, we can now move on. Large yard: proof photo. Guinness: Here comes that hole painter again... Guinness: First, the old deck had to go. Watch that "first" step out of the sliding glass door. We locked it!
Guinness: Beam me up, Scotty Guinness: The question is, how high is up...? Guinness: Soon they'll be a nice view of the yard from the 12' step-up octagon
Guinness: Good lookin' lines: where the main deck bay meets the step-up octagon Guinness: Lotsa' sticks, big deck, actually we'll be building the sunroom on the right side  Guinness: let the decking begin ....

Guinness: Now that's more like it Driscoll ...

(note the screened-in porch section in foreground)

Guinness: the sun shines on all Driscoll Signature Deck projects Guinness: we were wondering how you proposed getting us - up - on this beautiful deck, Driscoll ...
Guinness: ... and way to get down, too...! Guinness: And now for the NatureScape sunroom Guinness: With a roof, but of course...

Guinness: This upper deck and sunroom really came together nicely... Guinness: Award-wining look inside Guinness: And the fabulous finale from the outside
