Experience the Driscoll Difference

The O'Neill's say: "We are so happy with the way our new deck came out, we can't thank you enough. We absolutly love it! And, as you originally suggested, we continue to get compliments from the boats passing by"

      The O'Neill Project Description:

The O'Neill's have a lovely waterfront summer home along the picturesque

New Jersey coastline. Their old deck (above) was well designed and built

for its day, but pressure-treated wooden decks don't last long in this hostile

environment and its time was up.

      Driscoll Solution Story:

First we'll need a design that Bernie approves, and we'll all have to agree not

to stand on the railing and jump into the spa, so here it is: let's completely rip

out the old one and start from...well the begining. How about a lower main

section w/a step-up to a built-in spa and other spacious deck level, then up to

the fieldstone barbeque level (w/overhead pergola) and upper deck level.

Sounds like we've got our work cut out here, let's get to it...

O'Neill:The last look at the aforementioned... O'Neill: Rip it out carefully now boys... O'Neil: Just one piece at a time

O'Neill: We sure dig that Bob Cat, Driscoll.. O'Neill: for cleaning up a dirty mess... O'Neill: All gone...! So how about we get building the new one, hey Bernie..?

O'Neill: We've even got a plan that is ready to go... O'Neill: But, first let's replace that old structure below... O'Neill: the ships watch. That should hold it whilst we work...quickly!

O'Neill: Framing R' Us... O'Neil: Ahhh, with a lovely view of the harbor... O'Neil: and those steps are sure shapin' up, or down for that matter...

O'Neill: Is that a.... hot tub we see sitting on a 4" concrete slab..?

O'Neill: We got it in right, in spite of the deliver guy who didn't know Jack.

O'Neill: But, you have to promise Bernie no jumping off the railings into this lovely new spa.

O'Neill: Looking good from this side of the pond too. O'Neill: A little re-work on the center stairs, lattice and yes, we starting the decking boards. O'Neill: Looks like the makings of a parting board pattern here..

O'Neill: Is that - pergola kinda posts temporarily standing up there, or what...? O'Neill: These stairs look a whole lot better w/decking boards, but wait until the end game... O'Neill: Nice parting board design there, Driscoll. Lucky we stopped at the sea...

O'Neill: but, one good part deserves another, Hey Moses... O'Neill: hmmm looks like a little acc'ent lighting to accentuate... O'Neill: Get the bubblies ready, and oh yes, and fill the hot tub too...

O'Neill: There are some major finishing touches going on here, for sure O'Neill: We're workin' the pavers along the bulkhead, and... O'Niell: ...have the right angle on the center attraction... the pergola!

O'Neill: This little overhead is lookin' pretty good from almost any angle... O'Neill: All cleaned up and ready to go... O'Neill: Here's a little before-Driscoll (above) and after-Driscoll (click)

O'Neill: One last look at that pergola and... O'Neill:...a view of the harbor, 'cause it's time for the Driscoll Boys to... O'Neill: ...sail away to our next port-o'-call. Let the dancing begin. Enjoy!
